[OSENWORLD] DAY6 celebrates its 10th anniversary with a milestone release: their first full-length album in nearly six years. On September 5 at 6 p.m. KST, the band will drop The DECADE, their highly anticipated fourth studio record.
The album title is a direct nod to the group’s decade-long journey, capturing both a celebration of the past and the beginning of a new chapter. It arrives almost six years after their previous full-length, The Book of Us: Entropy, released in October 2019.
Ahead of the comeback, DAY6 teased fans with a music video teaser for “INSIDE OUT” on their official social channels on September 4. The clip, featuring an energetic melody and strikingly candid lyrics, built strong anticipation among their fandom, known as My Day.
The 10-track set includes double title songs “Bus of Dreams” and “INSIDE OUT,” along with “Don’t Rise,” “Disco Day,” “My Way,” “In Front of the Stars,” “Take All My Heart,” “Fly! Dream Rider,” “It’s Finally Ending,” and the poignant closer “Our Season.”
The release also follows DAY6’s renewal of their contract with JYP Entertainment. The agency reaffirmed its trust in Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon, pledging full support for the band and their fans as they enter the next decade.
For leader Sungjin, the milestone is humbling: “Still making music after ten years fills me with nothing but gratitude. This will always be remembered as a special album for our 10th anniversary.”
Young K reflected on the dual meaning of the record: “It feels like both a chance to look back on the past decade and the start of a new chapter. I’m deeply thankful to everyone who has been with us, and I look forward to what’s ahead.”
Wonpil admitted that reaching ten years still feels surreal: “We always thought of the 10th year as something far away. Now, celebrating it with my bandmates and Dowoon, I feel nothing but gratitude and joy. This album will be one we’ll look back on with special meaning in the years to come.”
Dowoon added warmly: “For me, this album will be remembered as a party with my brothers and My Day after ten years.”
