[OSENWORLD] Apple TV+ has made history at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards with a record-breaking 81 nominations—the most in the platform’s history.
Among them is Pachinko Season 2, the Korean-language drama starring Academy Award winner Youn Yuh-jung, Kim Min-ha, and Lee Min-ho. The series was nominated for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program (One Hour or More) and Outstanding Cinematography for a Series (One Hour).
Based on the bestselling novel by Min Jin Lee, Pachinko tells the intergenerational story of a Korean family living in Japan. The series has been praised for its sweeping visuals, rich storytelling, and emotional depth. The second season, expected to premiere later this year, continues to follow Sunja’s journey and the evolving legacy of her family.
These nominations mark another milestone for Korean creatives making waves in the global television industry, highlighting the growing influence of Korean storytelling on the world stage.
